Assistive Technology Resource Centers of Hawaii (ATRC) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit, resource center that provides access to assistive technology (AT) for people with disabilities of all ages, enabling independence and participation in every aspect of community life, including employment and education.
What is AssistiveTechnology (AT)?
This is what AT is... any item, piece of equipment, or product system, whether acquired commercially off the shelf, modified, or customized, that is used to increase, maintain, or improve the functional capabilities of individuals with disabilities.
And this is what ATRC does… increase the availability of, funding for, access to, provision of, and training about assistive technology devices and assistive technology services. AT Act Public Law 108-364
